After Ali Maney becomes Angelfire the stakes are raised and Dameon would like nothing more than her death. While Ali grows closer to Kian, they also find many differences that cause friction between them and after her best friends and brother are drawn into the angel wars, Ali will never look back until the war is over.

Ideally, I would give this book 3.5 stars. It seemed to pick up more as the story progressed, but I did find it a little difficult to get into at first.
The blurb of this book didn't actually give much of the story away. I did know before I started reading that this was the second in a series, but I still found this book fairly easy to read.
I did waver a bit about how I felt in regards to Ali. There were times I wasn't quite sure what to make of her. The other characters were fairly interesting, but there were one or two occasions where Ali came across as fairly self-centred. Some of the really minor characters were intriguing, but apart from the unnamed cheerleader, there seemed to be very few students at the school.
The idea about Essence was a really unique one and I would have liked to know more about how it all worked. The Weres and Fangs were also interesting twists and, again, something that intrigued me.
I think some of the supporting characters could have been a bit better developed - in particular the fledglings. When it came to the battles, it was difficult to care about the loss of characters I hadn't really met.
I did like Krysta and Sammael as characters. They were both ones I'd like to see more of in other books. I did like Ali and Kian's relationship. It was nice to see there were some conflicts, which made their relationship more realistic.
I did feel some sympathy towards Dumah, though she creeps me out a lot. I was absorbed by the end of the book and I would be interested in reading other books in this series at some point in the future.
Ali Maney is human turned angel thanks to Nate's gift. She and Kian spend the summer training. A new player is added to the mix Kian's sister Dumah. Dumah and Dameon are dark angels that create mayhem and building an army. Ali's brother Sam wants to have a more active role in fighting demons and dark angels much to Ali's dismay. Ali's best friend Molly becomes an important part of Angelfire group thanks to her gypsy family name. Kian is torn up over his sister's affiliation with dark angels and Dameon. Dameon continues to torment Ali. Can Angelfire group stop the demon army? What sacrifices will be made? Will Ali's new powers be enough? Your answers await you in Falling Angels.
Falling Angels picks up where She Speaks to Angels left off. Everyone in the Angelfire group is coping with Nate's death. Ali's training as an angel and her gifts under Kian's guidance proves that she's capable. I don't want to give too much away but I'm starting to really dislike Dumah very much. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series.
Falling Angels is the second book in the outstanding Angelfire series by Ami Blackwelder. As with the first book, I was immediately drawn in to the story, as it is extremely engaging and interesting. I did find it somewhat fast paced, but not confusing at all, so it was easy to follow. The characters from the previous novel She Speaks to Angels did come back, and they were deeper and more adult than the first book, which follows the storyline of a deep and dangerous conflict perfectly. I would recommend reading in order to get the full benefit of the story told in order. As a lover of angels, this book was a perfect read for me, as it would be for others as well.
Ali Maney’s world has turned upside down. Now that she is a human turned angel (known as Angelfire), Daemon and Dumah, Kian’s sister, both Dark Angels, want nothing more than Ali’s death. Dumah and Daemon are trying to build an army, and Ali’s death would not only help them, but would destroy Kian and the other Angels as well. And now her friends and family have been drawn into the angel war too! Kian is devastated by his sister’s desertion, and turns all of his attentions to Ali and her training. All she wanted was a normal high school experience. Ali never wanted to be this extraordinary being who held the fate of the world in her hands. Ali is not sure that she can stop the Dark Angels, or that her powers will be enough. Kian knows that they have to be. Can Ali and her powers save them all? Or will she fall, and all be lost?
Review from BITTEN BY BOOKS- 4 stars
Allison, (Ali) has made a huge transition. She is now an angel. Ali finds out that Dameon is a demon, and wants nothing more than to kill her, and a war is about to break out between the angels and demons. She is thrust in the middle of the two, and the war that is quickly approaching. Her brother and her two best friends are also brought into the war. Ali refuses to give up, there are too many lives at stake. You may think you know what evil is, until you realize the fact that everyone has some type of darkness inside of them. Who will fall in the darkness, and who will survive this unholy war?
Ali has Kian, who is an Angel, but for far longer than Ali, and she turns to him for guidance. With her life turned upside down, danger at every turn, she knows there will be losses, but can she protect the ones that mean the most to her, and more importantly, can she save herself?
Once again, the author has written the characters so well, that you have the feeling that you have known them. I was very pleasantly surprised at the attitude that the characters have no choice but to grow up fast because a war is coming, and true evil will surface.
The way that Ms. Blackwelder transitions the characters is flawless, and keeps you intrigued from beginning to end. Falling Angels really makes you appreciate the storyline even more, because you start to really care about the characters, but still wonder who will win this war of Good versus Evil.

This book was made available to me, by the author, in return for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. It has a good storyline about how people never seem to be happy with what they have and always want more. I couldn't seem to read the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. Can not wait to see how book 3 turns out. This is worth the read. You will not be disappointed!
Great read for Good Reads Great read, fast paced and really good thriller....and now I cant wait for the next book in the AngelFire Chronicles...and also buy She speaks to Angels, the first book in the series ( although you can read this book on its own, but ill warn you, you will want MORE) ....that being said as much as i am enjoying where Ali and Kian are going in this series i find myself getting attached to everyone else in the book, ( yes even Dumah) all the characters seem to draw you right to them and their own story. I recommend this book to everyone, any age and i thank Paranormal romance and Authors that Rock for giving me this book to review.....again, a great read and ill be going to see what other books Ami Blackwelder has written.!!!!
Falling Angels is the second book in the series.Ali gets her wings after Nathaniel,s death. She is devastated by his death and angered that Daemon tried to strangle her. She dyes her hair blonde and returns to school hoping this will throw him off. She falls in love with an Angel Fire Kian who guards her and trains her to fight the dark forces by using her power of fire to defeat demon's but she fears fire. When her brother Sam leaves a partial message on his partners phone and than disappears she vows to get him back. Plenty of thrills, chills and tears. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
This story is part of a series. Ali is entering her senior year in high school and has become Angelfire. Ali is growing closer to Kian, but all of the Angelfire are in danger, as well as Ali's brother and her best friends. This book was very well-developed, fast-paced and enjoyable. The characters were described very clearly and I could picture the scenes/situations easily. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to find out how it all turns out!!! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was giving the chance to read this before Ami published it. I did not know that it was the second book in a series. I had to admit that I was slightly confused, because I did not read the first one, but it was a really good story. This was the first story I've read with dealing Angels. A good read and worth it!
First, I would like to thank the author Ami Blackwelder for giving me this book for an honest review. I enjoyed reading this story. Most the characters are well developed and written. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
