Private Realities: Recent American Photography by Clifford S. Ackley (Museum of Fine Arts Boston 1974)(779). I was directed to this book when Shelby Lee Adams listed some of the photographers included in this work as influences upon Adams' own photographs. Most of the images contained in this volume are experimental; thankfully Adams' work far transcends the images contained herein. My rating: 6/10, finished 8/29/11.
