TWI is not a cult, at least it wasn't in the late 70s / early 80s when my parents were a part of it for a couple years. They left when Dr. Wierwille turned things over to someone else. Dr. W taught them so much about how to interpret the bible, and really was a blessing to my whole family as that knowledge and the love of God was passed down to me. I have an amazing relationship with God and Jesus to this day, and it started because of the classes my parents took. For that I thank TWI, but I don't know what it became after my parents left or what it is now. I do know that Dr. Wierwille was a true man of God and this book as well as his others are worth a read if you are a Christian or simply want to understand the Holy Bible better. I can't say it's 100% accurate but I can assure you that it was written by someone who loved God and Jesus and who studied the Word deeply for several decades.
This is the introductory indoctrination book of TWI (The Way International) it's just a dust catcher, I won't give it any stars. At one time TWI was considered the most dangerous cult in America. Victor liked to plagiarize many books. He died in 1985 3 years after he turned the group over to his successor. I was introduced to the group around the late '70's, after I was regularly love bombed by their followers I was hooked. I spent most of the '80's getting increasingly more obsessed with taking "The Class" I eventually did take the class in Eureka Ca. in 1988. After joining the Air Force in '89 I was sent to South Korea, where I felt alone and started to write to TWI Head Quarters where I eventually started receiving tapes and magazines as well as letters from the international department. On my return to the states I became more involved took more of their classes and eventually getting more involved because I felt I needed to fit in somewhere, we had our own special language and did our own special events. But things started to get ugly. I haven't been involved with TWI for over 20 years, it's taken me a long time to get over the damage and loss from being involved with that group. They still operate but it's nothing like it used to be, which in some ways it's good, but as long as they keep going there is potential for someone to take over and turn it back into the freak show it used to be.
