Blondes have more fun? Pfft. Bad Girls have more fun. Rebecca Gabel was accused of being a bad girl and she discovered life was easier (and more fun!) to live up to the reputation than try to deny it. But now with a new comer who’s taking her up on her suggestions, Rebecca is a little out of her element. There’s talking the talk…and then there’s having to walk it.

Grant Iverson recently inherited land from his mother, so he’s arrived in Apple Trail, Arkansas to check the place out and see if there are any treasures hidden there. What he doesn’t expect to find is a woman full of curves and a mouth of pure sin, but whose eyes reflect nothing but curious innocence.

Keri Ford brings sexy contemporary romance to the American South. With a sprinkling of men in suits and women in high heels, you’ll most likely find four-wheeler riding, ball cap wearing fellas trying to sweet-talk sundress wearing ladies in Keri’s books. Glass of sweet tea at your elbow while you read is not required, but strongly recommended.

Rebecca says she is in Apple Trail to visit her brother (Mike from Making Her Nights) who recently married. Coming off a break up, she’s really in town for a week to channel her old self and have some fun.

Grant is reeling from his mother’s death and in town to claim his inheritance, a run down yet grand old home on 1000 acres of land. His mother’s death has lead him to make some changes in his life including no more fast women and make a home for him and his triplet brothers.

Rebecca trying to escape her brother’s ongoing questions offers to show Grant his new homestead. She’s already decided he will do quite nicely for her week of fun. Only thing is Grant claims he doesn’t want that type of relationship anymore. Grant tries to do the right thing but in the end, he just can’t help himself and gives in. I loved the character of Grant. He was sweet, fun, and sexy. I really felt there were a lot of layers to him that weren’t explored and I personally wanted to peel those layers away. I especially wanted to know the story behind the tattoos.

I had a hard time liking Rebecca. At first she was saucy, mouthy and seemed so sure of her self and I liked that, but then she shared a story about her past with Grant and she was no longer that person. It was like a switch had been flipped and I had trouble buying it. Then she withheld something pretty big from Grant and I wanted to knock her upside her head. Thankfully Grant is a great guy and he apparently didn’t have the problems with her I did!

All in all, I did like this book. It gave a little more about the history of Apple Trail and I hope we’ll get more on that in the future. The sex scenes were of course good. That being said, for the first time in one of Keri’s books I truly felt a little cheated in character development. I honestly felt like there was something missing in the middle of this book. Despite that, I still give this book a solid three stars and if you’ve read the previous books you’ll want to read this one too. I’m looking forward to the next in this series and Keri’s new series based on Grant’s triplet brothers!

So far out of all the Apple Trail books, I'm thinking this one is tied for favorite with Through the Wall. I liked it a lot! When I first came upon Keri Ford's books, I wanted to read the Roughnecks first, until I discovered Grant is the fourth brother and his book is before the triplets'. I had to read this one before I could get to those, and I have this need to read a series in order which meant I had to start the Apple Trail books from the beginning. (Luckily for me they're not too long!) So anywho... I liked Grant a lot! He is hot! I love tattoos and surly guys, especially when they harbor sweetness under the surface. Rebecca was fine but some her behavior was not my favorite. I get she had her reasons for keeping the 'big secret' but still... Like the others in this series, Keri packs enough info and spicy sex scenes in without leaving the reader feeling jipped. Yes it would be nice for some of these stories to be longer, with lots more steamy sex, but it wasn't lacking. I'm definitely liking her style!

He came to Apple Trail to escape from the person he used to be, while she came back to Apple Trail to reconnect with who she once was.

Grant is tired of living life in the fast lane with soon forgotten women. He’s looking for stability and reuniting with his brother’s in Apple Trail, but first he’s got to set-up a home and entice them to the town. Once accomplished, he’s looking forward to finding Ms. Right and settling down to start the family his mother never got the chance to see. Regrets aside, he’s made a plan and he’s going to stick to it, that is until he see’s Rebecca. One look and he knows she’s trouble and someone the old Grant would very much like, but he doesn’t want another notch on his bedpost. He’s decided that he’s going to get to know her mind first and then after he’s earned it – her body. He's hesitant with Rebecca, not sure if she's the type of woman you'd bring home to your mother, but his body won't deny her.

She might be labeled the wild child (among other not so nice names) to the rest of the town, but she’s never had to actually live up to any of her unwarranted reputation. So when Grant wants to take her up on what she's offering, Rebecca freezes unsure of how to proceed next. The sexy, carefree, spirited woman has been an act that up until recently she hasn’t had to actually prove. Over the course of their temporary relationship, dramatic changes are made that neither anticipated until it was time to part ways, but will they be bold enough to say what they want out loud?

The advantage of Grant and Rebecca’s relationship is that they are complete strangers to one another and Grant has decided to place no weight on the town gossip surrounding Rebecca. They are both able to come to the relationship as the person they want to be without a polluted past to battle or prejudgments set against them. They get along great physically, but are unsure of how to proceed with the rest. With much of the focus on these two characters, the reader really gets to know them and connect with them. It made the intimate and emotional moments that much more intense.

This one out of all of the series so far, is the one I really wanted to see have a longer ending. However, after reading Ms. Ford will be doing a trilogy based on Grant's triplet older brothers thereby updating us on Grant and Rebecca, I am a bit relieved. Besides, the brother's sound like delicious fun, so I'm sure they'll make for some excellent reading.

Readers who have yet to get lost in Apple Trail, Arkansas should absolutely pick up this series. They don't have to be read in order, but once you start you'll be hooked.

Satisfying Her Tastes is novella number 5 in the Uninhibited In Apple Trail series that has broken Keri Ford out of up and coming author status to full blown grade “A” wonder author! This woman keeps cranking out these stories left and right seemingly effortlessly.

This trip to Apple Trail introduces us to Mike Gabel’s (from the last book- Making Her Nights) sister, Rebecca. Rebecca has always been labeled easy, why should anyone think any different now, years later? Why not just embrace the accusations? What better time then when hunky Grant walks into her life? Grant just inherited a run down, over grown, sprawling 1000 acres complete with a dilapidated house . None of that really interests him as much as the oil wells. Seeing those as a way to convince his triplet brothers to settle down in Apple Trail for good. First things first, get the land under control. Helping him in more ways than one is Rebecca. She isn’t what he expected when he decided to finally settle down. Home just became a person and not a place, something they both with have to work at before they can have their happily ever after.

I love the town of Apple Trail! Qaint country living where everything you need if right under your nose. I adored Grant. He was deliciously built and had a family oriented heart. His need to get his brothers in one place and establish a family was always forefront in his mind. I like when the hero is family conscience and is willing to start a family instead of playing the field forever. Usually that is held for the female characters so I enjoyed the twist of roles in this one.

Rebecca was a bit hard to connect to for some reason. I couldn’t put my finger on why exactly. I liked her go get em attitude and her snarkiness. I think I got mad when she left for such a long time on Grant. I couldn’t understand why…for someone to just up and leave under the circumstances. Then to have the revelation she does and not go back sooner. Not find him. Track him down and bare her soul. Uggg!

Even with my gripe..that’s just another reason why I love Keri’s books. They make me feel like I should comfort fictional characters. Rage at them when they behave badly and give them a piece of my mind. The Uninhibited in Apple Trail series is innovative, engaging and smoldering with sexiness…a series that I can read again and it will still feel fresh.

I give Satisfying Her Tastes 3.75 stars!

I've really enjoyed these novellas by Keri Ford, all taking place in Apple Trail, Arkansas. They are light, fun and very sexy.

Satisfying Her Tastes isn't my favorite of the bunch though. Rebecca comes back to Apple Trail with the excuse that she wants to visit her brother. But really she is a little lost in life. She always has had a bad girl image - an outrageous flirt. But in reality, she never follows through with her taunts. She has broken up with a boyfriend who wouldn't let her be herself, and is now in Apple Trail for a break.

Grant Iverson just inherited a very old, dilapidated house and tons and tons of acreage. He is ready to put down roots, and being an oil geologist, he has special interest in this land as he knows there is the potential to find oil underground. He wants to fix up the house and eventually bring his brothers to live with him.

But first, the house needs a lot of work. He is introduced to Rebecca by chance, and since she knows the area well, she offers to take him on a tour of the house and his property. In these couple of days, they become quite attracted to each other as they work out a plan to fix up Grant's property.

I just didn't feel as much chemistry with these two as I have in previous books. These novellas are always very sexually charged, which I like and this book is no exception. Rebecca falls into her old pattern of hard core flirting, but this time she really wants to follow through! Grant wants to take things a little slower, but spending days together makes that difficult. Although there are some hot sex scenes in here, Grant falls a little flat for me. Where as in previous books I found many amusing moments, Grant comes across with a harder edge and I had a hard time warming up to him. I connected much more with Rebecca.

I hear Keri Ford is going to start a full length book in the near future - excited for that!

I've heard really great things about the novellas that Keri Ford has written and I have finally been able to read one. I really enjoyed it. It was a fun read that has plenty of sexy moments to keep me coming back for more.

Rebecca comes back home to visit her brother who was recently just married. Well, at least that is what she is telling herself. In reality she went back to find her way again. Rebecca has always had this bad girl image for as long as she can remember, but come to find out she never followed through with any of it. Now that she is newly single she is more then determined to find out who she is really is.

Grant is new to the town of Apple Trail, Arkansas. He ended up here because he just inherited a very old house that he finds out could use a little work. His plan is simple, to bring his brothers here so they can be a family. Finally ready to put down some roots and find a girl he could bring home to mom is part of that plan.

When Grant meets Rebecca, she offers to take him on tour of the house and land since she grew up there. While spending time together for a week fixing up his property they both begin to realize how attracted they are to each other. Although they get along great no promises can be made because at the end of the week Rebecca is going back to Florida.

I really thought it was sweet on Grant's part that he wanted to take things slow where as Rebecca goes back to her old ways of her flirting. I loved that when she met Grant she new it was time to follow through. I felt the sexual attraction but I didn't really feel the chemistry until the end of the novella. Overall I enjoyed it so much that I will have to start at the beginning of this series. I will have to move them up in tbr sooner rather than later.

My thoughts:

Rebecca has always been the bad girl of town. Well that is what everyone things she is so she does her best to live up to what everyone expect out of her. Rebecca has come back to town to let loose before she has to return to real life. But the last thing that Rebecca ever expected to find in her home town was Grant.

Yet again, Keri has made the occupants of Apple Trail, Arkansas come to life for me. I want her to keep writing these stories. I would love for Keri to revisit the characters too. I would love to know how Rebecca and Grant are doing. I have to give a HUGE shout out to Keri, for sending me this book for review. I can’t wait for Chasing Her Trail #6 of the Apple Trail Series out Nov 7th.

Ok, so it took me a bit to realize who Grant and Rebecca were. I read Rough Ride a couple of days ago so it finally dawned on me how it all fit together. This book gave me a picture of Grant and Rebecca and damn it was good! Grant tried to be all tough but he finally gave in to Rebecca. Another great one by Keri Ford... she's right up there with Kristen Ashley as far my obsession goes and that's high praise. I know I'll be sad when I finish the last book in the series...

Keri Ford's unique voice is pure fun! Loved the story, the fast pace, the way she totally drew me into the setting, and how she kept me on the hook through the whole read. Sexy, sweet, fun and totally satisfying.
