Lyman Hafen crafts engaging stories in enchanting words. His descriptions are not forced, but fitting. Reading the non-fiction "Ropin' the Wind" and then this book, was a delight. The story would be engaging for youth and adults.

A very genuine boy-becomes-man overnight book. Good for young readers, especially in the southern Utah region where this story takes place.
