Krista Clarke works at a travel agency but hasn't flown on a plane. She's not a risk-taker, she's the "not the 'just do it anyway'type. she was the "dot every I" and "cross ever T" type, the "let me sleep on it" type." That changes during the two weeks she's in Tahiti with her co-workers to meet their boss' son who'll be taking over the company.

The adventures planned by their elusive new boss definitely put Krista out of her comfort zone, and the time she spends with Mason also have her trying and feeling new things. She's surprised to find herself falling in love with someone she's known less than two weeks.

The descriptions in this book are fantastic, I could picture where Krista and Mason were and almost feel the ocean breeze. This is a quick read and Krista isn't the only one in her group at work that undergoes some changes.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher, Hatco Publishing, via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I liked the story. I’ve loved all the books I have read by this author and this one was also amazing. I felt that it took a little bit more time than it needed to start off but it did, it was a fun ride. I liked all the events and descriptions.

This is book seven of the Do-Over Date series and tells the story of Krista Clarke and the man she meets on a work trip to Tahiti, Mason (McKinney). She works at Ticket To Anywhere Travel Agency and doesn’t exactly love her job, but it pays the bills and she volunteers whenever she can at Founding Friendships, a homeless charity, which she loves. The boss of the agency, Andrea, is retiring early to go travelling with her new husband, her second after her first died a few years ago. She announces that her son will be taking over the business, a man none of them have ever met, but to help with that, she is sending the whole office on a company retreat in Tahiti for two weeks. While most would be excited at the idea of a holiday in the sun, even if some work is involved, Krista is not an adventurous person and is even scared of flying, the strange food and experiences she may have to endure, basically everything! Never mind the language barrier. She has worked in a tiny cubicle, offering people the holidays of a lifetime, but never travelled anywhere herself She is comfortable with what she has and where she goes, with a steady job that helps her pay the bills. She likes her routines and something new is scary!
On the very first night there, she can’t sleep and gets up for a walk along the beach, only to find sheets of paper floating over the sand and in the water. Mason appears out of the water, clutching a handful of pages and thanks her for collecting some of his work. He likes travelling all over the world and he tells her he is writing a book about his travels. She heads off back to the resort, then suddenly goes back and continues to help him collecting his work, even going into the water and getting her clothes all wet, something she would never have done before. As a thank you he ends up showing her the real life of the island, not the resort. Showing her places she never would have adventured to herself. He has travelled so widely and can speak French to be understood there, making up experiences for her every day, whenever she is free. The new boss leaves cryptic messages for the group and they end up going all over the island on seemingly wide goose chases, but never actually meeting up with their new boss until the final day!
Mason isn’t going back to the States with her and as he lives in Florida apparently, there may not even be any more to their relationship than a friendship that could so easily have become a romance. She certainly thinks of him that way and he has pulled her out of her comfort zone. Giving her a new zest for life and maybe not accepting the norm when she returns. She has big decisions to make about her future, her job and what she will really be happy to do for the rest of her life. Her roommate and fellow employee is the total opposite of Krista and dressed for work every day on their retreat, even having a folder full of ideas for the new boss when he took over the business. She obviously loves working in a travel agency, but Krista has come to realise that her desires lie in a different direction. Following her heart may be risky, but well worth while in the long run. Dreams are there to be had and the wonderful Courtney at the coffee kiosk is always ready with a hot drink and some wise words. She always plays a part in the characters journey and is available to listen to your woes. Another great story, with likeable characters and someone stuck in their routine, finally finding their more adventurous side and blossoming. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

It's a refreshing & sweet romance.
I loved Krista and Mason's story.
Krista, & her co-workers were
spending two weeks on a vacation
in Tahiti. It was to meet their new boss.
After a chance meeting on
the beach with Mason, he opened

I was surprised that Krista working for a travel agency had never been on an airplane, but then she’s afraid to take risks. Her first plane trip is with the rest of her coworkers to Tahiti to meet her new boss. Once there she meets a stranger on the beach and he takes her on adventures off the beaten path. I loved that they immersed themselves in the island culture and didn’t just hang out at the hotel and experience their amenities. The trip had it’s ups and downs and made her realize that she was settling and what she really wanted in life. I wish I was more courageous to find and follow my dreams. But the story made me want to plan more travel adventures.

This is the second book I read from this author and I really enjoyed both.
Krista plays it safe with her steady job and comfortable routine. But when a destination work retreat takes her to exotic Tahiti, she's thrown out of her comfort zone. She's also exhilarated and feeling alive for the first time in years. Could this be due to adventurous Mason, who shows her the island in unexpected ways? How can she hold onto this new zest for life once she returns home without him?
This story is short and cute. You can read it in less than two hours. The characters are real and well developed. This isn’t a spicy book, mostly platonic sweet romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Krista is an unenthusiastic travel agent but enjoys volunteering for Founding Friendships. Her boss at the travel agency is retiring and her son will be taking over the business. The boss flies all the agents to Tahiti for two weeks to meet the new boss. The first night in Tahiti, Krista meets a man on the beach. Just like Cinderella, she has to leave him and rush back to meet her boss.

I liked the story of Mason and Krista. They were opposites. She was a stay at home , not try anything new, nervous traveler and he loved to travel and try new things. He was able to get her to leave her comfort zone and she was able to get him to realize what is truly important in life, I would recommend this book.

Krista Clarke works at a travel agency. She had dreams of being a professional soccer player but her dream didn’t come true. Since then she has played life safe. Her boss announces her retirement and that her son will take over the agency. The team is asked to go to Tahiti where they will meet their new boss. Krista can’t sleep her first night on the island. She comes across papers flying around the beach. She gets mad at the litter and starts gathering it up. She sees a guy in the ocean frantically gathering up papers there. She helps him and learns his name is Mason. Over the two weeks in Tahiti, they go on adventures together. Krista starts to get out of her comfort zone. She’s enjoying her time with Mason. Their new boss keeps making excuses for not meeting them but has them doing team building exercises. Krista and Mason had great chemistry. I enjoyed the characters. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.

After having not succeeded in her career of choice, Krista had taken the easiest path, she was not crazy about her job, she did not look for big emotions, trips, or love, she just felt contented with what life threw at her until everything changed and she was forced to think and act out of the box. In two weeks her life was thrown upside down, she found the love of her life and also found out not everything was as it had seemed. She persevered and found out what living life in full meant! A good-humored and easy-to-read story about life, love, careers, and second chances - even when we don't think they are possible or that we deserve them.

This was such a sweet, fun book! Krista has had failure and refuses to take chances and lives fearfully in an almost comedic way. When her job sends her to Tahiti, the real fun begins. She meets Mason and he pulls the adventure out of her. These two are so much fun together. I only wish she had realized who he was as soon as I did, but the story wouldn’t have been what it was if she did. This was a good story with a cute HEA.

Krista meets Mason at a work retreat in Tahiti. His sense of adventure takes her out of her comfort zone, challenging her to live life to its fullest. Can their relationship be more than a vacation fling?

It was great to see how Mason convinced Krista to re-examine her priorities, and set her on a path to follow her bliss. I also liked the innovative work retreat—that was an unexpected touch.

Thanks, Booksprout, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Destination Date is a lite, easy, and entertaining plane read. Although it is a short read, the plot's development between Krista and Mason is the main focus taking the reader along their blossoming romance while leaving you pondering along with Krista, who this mysterious man is. Although not advisable to let a perfect stranger whisk you away, it works out for Krista, pulling her out of her shell. Susan Halter captures the beauty of an adventurous Tahiti getaway.

What a fun setting in this book! Tahiti really comes alive in here while Mason and Krista tour around and experience the island. Krista learns a whole new way of thinking about her life while she experiences Tahiti with Mason. It was all very romantic and engrossing.

Krista goes to Tahiti and meets Mason. He is adventurous and challenges her to be more adventurous and get out of her comfort zone. She starts having feelings for him. Just as she is ready to step up and tell him how she feels, she finds out that he is keeping something from her. She has to decide if he is worth taking the risk for or if she is going to continue her life as it has been even if she hasn't been happy.

I really enjoyed reading this story. Krista works for a travel agency but never has the time to travel until she is sent on a company retreat to meet her new boss in Tahiti. She meets Mason who is trying to rescue his manuscript from the ocean and really gets along well with him almost forgetting her morning meeting with her new boss. The new boss never shows up to any of the meetings setup but all the employees get to experience lots of different places and local culture. There are twists and turns in this story that really make it intersting and, at times, humorous. The characters are fun to read about and the story keeps moving along at a nice pace keeping my interest.

Krista is stuck in rut, not taking any chances. Mason is the dreamer who loves travel and adventure. When he takes over the travel agency from his mother, the entire staff goes to Tahiti to interact with each other and look to the future. On the beach, she helps him corral papers that are blowing away. They continue to have fun and talk as they explore the island.
Loved the characters and how different they are. Opposites attract. The storyline has great backstories, drama, fun times, surprises, big decisions, great banter and steam. Loved how she picked up a new job and surprised her friend with a promotion. The ending was great.

Thank you NetGalley, Susan Hatler and Hatco Publishing for the copy of Destination Date. This is my personal review.
I absolutely love every book I have read by Susan Hatler. Destination Date was great.
Krista has a job working for a Travel Agency, but she feels like she is stuck doing a job she enjoys but doesn’t love. She is never in any real hurry to get to work and then one day she is called in to a meeting with the boss and she thinks the end is there for her but instead her and everyone else is told the boss is getting remarried and they are getting her son as their new boss. They are sent to Tahiti to meet him.
This sets off an adventure Krista never imagined in her life.
I don’t want to give anything away about what happens so grab this book and set off an adventure you are going to enjoy. It’s a short fun filled book that will leave you smiling from start to finish.
This is book seven in the Do-Over Date Series. The books are short and fun!

Ever since Krista's initial career plans failed, she's given up on dreams and decided to focus on practicality - however much she hates her job. But when her retiring boss sends the whole company to Tahiti for two weeks to meet the new boss, a chance night meeting on the beach has her beginning to step out of her comfort zone. Spending more time with Mason in between team meetings that never work out quite right opens her eyes still further to all she's been missing. But can she - should she - maintain this courage when it's time to go home? And when the boss finally shows up, will it be the beginning of something new, or the end of everything?

While I haven't always loved my work, I can't imagine staying on when I hated it as much as Krista did. However, different people are different, and it was heart-warming to watch her starting to really live again instead of just going through the motions. The whole thing with 'meeting he boss' and how it never quite worked out was hilarious, and I would actually have liked to see a bit more of it (though I realise it had nothing to do with the romance, so I see why we don't). Finally, the ending was highly satisfying. All in all, an enjoyable clean light read - recommended.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.
