The Fraternity Advisor shares his secrets on how to become a successful fraternity leader. Pat held every position, won every award and this book tells you how he did it. This book covers every aspect of chapter operations to include recruitment, social, fundraising, new member education and more. It also includes a special chapter with his views on leadership that will help you long after you graduate. You may not use every idea in this book, but it will definitely help you develop your own strategy on how to make your chapter the very best on campus.
As an alumnus and mentor for a struggling chapter, this book serves as an invaluable resource. I wish this book was written when I first joined my fraternity. It's an extremely easy read that builds on core principles of recruitment, social programs, fundraising. It's written in a way that you can implement Daley's ideas in your existing program or start from scratch and develop your own program as you go. Overall this book is a great resource for students, alumni, and leaders alike.
This book is the bible for everything fraternity. As a founding father and president of a current Colony, this book has given me great advice and ideas on just about every aspect of fraternity life, whether it be recruitment, putting together a new member program, fundraiser ideas, social programming tips, etc. You would be doing yourself a great disservice to not read this book if you want to improve your fraternity.
A short (134 pg) book on how to improve your chapter. Easy to read and to the point, with insightful ideas on websites, rush, sorority relations, fundraising, new member education, finances, social programs, and elections. I was able to read this in two hours, and I recommend every brother to read it. It is a worthy investment.
This book achieves its intended purpose: give advice, tips, and examples of how to lead a fraternity in all the most important aspects. I would like to have had examples of how to invigorate a fraternity instead of assuming a stable status quo, but since it caters to your average fraternal audience and I understood that before getting book, I cannot complain. A solid four stars.
