Thirty years ago, I unloaded my family from the Ark that we had been riding into a farming community in Central Kentucky. Like Noah, we tried to establish an alter, honoring God, on our property. Also like Noah, we planted a vineyard, and my progeny began to populate the earth. We’ve planted thousands of trees, in hopes that out great grandchildren’s grandchildren will have shade for their lives. I hope that they will read some of these poems to their children in the shade of those trees.
