Roasting with Rob

I’ve been receiving this author’s newsletter for sometime now, and haven’t read any of her books, until now. It is so refreshing to read something that is a completely different concept.
Yes, it’s a bit naughty, but the storyline in Roasting Rob is really great because it’s about older people finding love again. I’ve never read a story with a cooking element, either. I learnt something, and it also reaffirmed something I knew. And, just when I thought the story was over, there’s a little twist.
A enjoyable read if you like something a little risqué with a good plot – and a good lashing of humour!

This is the second book in this incredible series, and this is Renee and Rob’s story. Rob is stubborn and grumpy, and he is ex- military, but when he has a near fatal heart attack, his daughters hire Renee, who specializes in healthy eating vegetarian foods, to convince him to give up the dangerous food he loves. This is a well written sweet fast paced romance, with humor, witty banter, family, matchmaking, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.

I loved the book. It was funny how Rob tried to resist but to no avail. He couldn’t fight against Renee’s tasty food and her cheerful personality. It was a lost battle from the beginning.
I enjoyed a lot reading Rob and Renee’s story.

Nice story
I really liked this story. I had met Erika and Reeds characters in the authors book Summer Wedding. It was great to see the make an appearance in this book. I really enjoy reading books about middle aged couples. Loved Rob and Renee together and glad they had their HEA. One major error was the beginning of a chapter that started with “Hank followed me…..”. But aside from that it was a great story. I’m looking forward to reading Liz’s book soon.

Absolutely love the newest book in the Home Cooked Holiday series. Rob is looking for the perfect person to teach him to eat better, Renee fills this box, and he will do anything to keep her and make her his. Always look forward to every story this Rose writes.

The author has given us a wonderful Christmas Themed story that pulls us into the lives of Rob and Renee. The story keeps us turning the pages with connection, secrets, heartbreak and steam.

I really loved this book. I enjoy reading books with older couples who find love. Several members of my family are improving their health by eating better. This book made me realize I need to do that too.
