I did what I had to. Try and kill my girl? I will end you faster than you can say have mercy. Sure I broke a cardinal pack rule, which will get me executed by my mate. If they find out. If they find me.
Saved from capture by Zane, the sexiest of sexy werewolves, my rescue comes with a price. Zane wants a favor, one that could cause an all-out pack war. The last thing I need is to make more enemies, but lives are at stake if I don’t make a stand. Not only that, but I have a secret. An impossible secret that is going to turn the entire werewolf world upside down.

Well hold on to your hats this one is going for a ride. Well book 1 set the stage and book 2 starts climbing a very ….nice…..not nice, too boring……exciting unpredictable and slightly kooky story arc Fun I think that is the best word fun book and I am totally anticipating the third now. I can’t wait. I still think that a long book is better than three but appreciate the anticipation building with each book. My style still is binge but every so often I can wait (ok rarely). No spoilers here you will have to pick this one up and take the ride. Easy read with enough complexity in relationships and development to keep you going.
I did get an advanced copy (complimentary) for my review and I can honestly say it didn’t influence me in the slightest. I was a night creature fan and now trilogy advances that fandom.
I was so excited to read the second book in the series because Sarah is such an interesting character. Her backstory is a unique one, and I think to a degree that has led her to who she is today. And speaking of today, this latest is a great addition to the series. We learn more about Sarah’s past, and unfortunately, she must do something not so nice in this book to escape something she got herself into. I know that is vague, but I really don’t want to spoil it. I kinda saw the end coming, but now I’m torn about how I feel about everything that happened. I also know I can’t wait to see how all this plays out in the next one. I love that this author is writing more paranormal books especially in the Nightcreature universe. Well-written, fun, and engaging PNR/UF, and I want lots more books. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
I really enjoyed this story, great read! Who isn’t rooting for Sarah and Gideon!! Sarah is very relatable, other than the werewolf part! The trouble she gets herself into, and out of, is so entertaining. I especially like the ties of this book back to the author’s Nightcreature series. I am really looking forward to part 3 of this series. I hope that the author will continue writing for the Nightcreature series, and bringing back old friends!
I'd only thought book 1 would be the best in this series, how wrong I was! I'm firmly rooting for Sarah and Gideon! The plot only thickens and I found myself entranced all day! Yup, that's right, read it in one sitting! It doesn't get any better than that. I can't wait for the next installment
Lori Handeland has magic in her books. So hard to put it down. It really get to you. Totally a great read. I can't wait for the next book in this series. Love all of them
LH is always good, but I found this addition to the Jagger-Sucher storyline disappointing. They have become too easy, too rushed. Perhaps a break while other stories are perused.
Lori, you have outdone yourself. I love how you’ve incorporated Edward into the story and still created a new universe. I can’t wait to read the next one!!
