Rescuing Pemberley

Short, but sweet story once Mr. Darcy had been located in London. When the Gardiners and Elizabeth arrived in Derbyshire, her aunt was so excited to be visiting Pemberley again. Lizzy it’s the most beautiful place you’ll ever see. But when they got there the place was nearly in ruins, over grown with weeds, the rosé gardens completely destroyed. Her aunt was so distraught and dismayed the destruction, she could hardy talk. Seeing Mrs. Reynolds come from the side looking dismayed told her something terrible happened at Pemberley. The story of its destruction was horrible and Mrs. Gardiner and Elizabeth were determined to find Mr. Darcy and bring him home to face this dilemma. And find him they did with the help of a young gentleman and eventually Charles Bingley. With the help of Elizabeth’s family, the Bingleys, and other workers, Pemberley is completely rebuilt, the gardens restored to their beauty. At first, Darcy is angry, but as things progress, his demeanor changes. Elizabeth becomes the key to making him change much to Caroline Bingley’s dismay. But when she hears that his Aunt Catherine is coming and bringing her daughter, she rubs it into Lizzy that he will be marrying Anne de Bourgh. But not so as he asks Elizabeth to marry him. Naturally she says yes as she’s grown to love its owner as they restored and rescued Pemberley.

Umm it was different

A short read so parts of it felt crammed together. Nothing was truly solved except the repairs. Only GW and no other villains despite Caroline being there the whole time.
Mostly told as if Elizabeth is thinking out loud.
You may like this version, it was different to be sure, however I just could not enjoy this book.
Sorry. This was not suited to my taste.
