Mr. Fix-It

Rate this book
"You need a Mr. Fix-It." That's what I hear my stepdaughter's friend say. Technically, she's my ex-stepdaughter. But when her best friend tells her to get someone to help fix her virginity problem, my thoughts about her are anything but fatherly. I'm here to fix a leaky pipe in the building I own, the one her mother, my ex-wife, is still renting from me. But now I'm seeing her in a different light. And when her friend lets it slip that my stepdaughter has a crush on me, I'm not sure I can resist giving her exactly what she wants.

Mr. Fix-It, Book 12 of the Stepdad Diaries series was about 37-year-old Kase and his former stepdaughter, 19-year-old Jazz.
Side Note: It seems all of the books in this series had the stepdad being much younger than the ex-wife in the story. For example, Kase was only 37, while his ex-wife was 50. Thinking back to the other 11 books, the same was true. Each MMC was decidedly younger than their former wives.
When Kase married Jazz's mother, she had been only 17, and 19 when they got divorced. Nearing the 20-years-old, she was still a virgin but didn't want to lose her V-card to a guy her age because she felt they were too self-involved to take care of the girl's needs before their own. Plus she had a crush on Kase since she first met him. Her BFF told her she needed to hire an older man to "fix it", then she suggested that Jazz should hook up with her former stepdad and exorcise her crush. What Jazz didn't know was that Kase overheard their conversation.
Kase realized he wanted Jazz to want him, and he wondered how long it would take for him to push the right buttons for her to show him what she wanted. After seeing her in a sexy dress, Kase told her to not go looking for some random "Mr. Fix-It" to take care of her needs, letting her know he had overheard her conversation with her BFF, which embarrassed her. But that didn't stop things from moving forward between them.
While this book had potential, it fell flat because of the abrupt ending. Unfortunately, the author did that with this whole series, leaving too many issues unresolved and not even giving the reader a HEA with any of the stories.

Secrets ~

I enjoyed this story. The secrets we keep, and those we don’t, will all come to light, hopefully at the right time. Hers did, and she got what she secretly wanted. I liked the Bonus Scene.

Naughty.

Another good naughty read. I'm glad that the daughter finally found happiness. And so did he. They both deserved it.
