This is the start of an adorable side series that is a quirky mix that brings to mind a mixture of The Hobbit meets pirates, with the chaos of Loki thrown in as well. From the adorable two main characters to the numerous situations they find themselves in, this book was a quick paced, never a dull moment, interesting adventure. The added illustrations make me wonder why all books can't have such lovely drawing thrown in. I can't wait to see what Max and Elliot get into in volume 2!
