Roger Harris was one of many children abducted from his home and sent to the Academy. Whether he remembers it or not, he has been changed forever by the military school. Those at the Academy accepted the word of the Republic as their only truth, as they were trained to serve in its military. Riots are a daily occurrence outside of the Republic’s walled cities. The citizens of the republic turned to augmenting their soldiers with biomechanical upgrades to create stronger and faster armies. Those augmented felt that they were superior to other humans and referred to themselves as synthetics or 'synths' as they cast off their old shackles of mortality.
Roger, however, was part of the special tasks squads and was forbidden to be augmented to aid him in successfully infiltrating the rebels. What will happen when he is forced to return to a home he doesn't remember and learns of the evils of the Republic? After so many choices had been taken from him, it will be up to Roger to decide.
