Zombies, cults, and a desperate search for a cure...two friends must test the limits of their relationship in this action-packed apocalyptic romance where secrets are the key to survival.
The US government has been keeping a secret… During the Vietnam War, they created zombies, and if the undead ever escaped, they created a backup plan.
Code Z.
A last-ditch contingency for if their ill-advised creation should ever cause an outbreak. Unfortunately, the day has come for that plan to be enacted. Navy SEALs Malcolm White and Zack Morris are on a mission to rescue the Governor of Virginia from the spreading zombie invasion when they learn that Malcolm’s friend Anne Yamaguchi, and Zack’s wife Kelsey, are stuck in a mall in the midst of a zombie attack. Abandoning the mission, Malcolm and Zack rush to save them and bring them to the safety of the Little Creek Naval Base. However, they discover that only those who are married to a member of the military are allowed to find sanctuary on the base. That is when a plan is devised, Anne and Malcolm pretend to be married, to protect her from the worst of the plague. Soon Anne and Malcolm discover this plan creates more problems than it solves. Not only will the couple find themselves struggling to uphold the ruse, while also evading zombies and vengeful demonic cults, they will find that living a lie changes their growing feelings for each other. Feelings that could have the potential to ruin their friendship forever. This fast-paced apocalyptic romance will leave you turning pages late into the night as stakes rise and friendships are tested. Will a cure be found? Or will the world fall to a monster of its own making?
This book contains mature scenes, gore, sexual assault, and elements of horror
“A modern-day Zombie novel is only the beginning of this unique take on an old favorite. Following the characters as they try to survive, not only against the undead but against man's brutality. I enjoyed this story from start to finish and was rooting for the characters throughout. Some heart-stopping moments, which meant I struggled to put the book down.”
I just finished reading "Until the end" by Remy Marie on my tablet, thanks to my girlfriend's Kindle Unlimited subscription.
I have read another book by Remy before, but this time, the author's romantic and spicy side takes a backseat to a more action-packed zombie story with a touch of romance. The main plot revolves around how Malcolm White, a Navy SEAL, saves Anne and during a zombie outbreak by creating a lie that they are married so she can enter a military base. They must maintain this pretense while fighting to survive in this new apocalyptic world, battling against zombies and a crazy group called the Sons of Satan.
Prepare yourself some popcorn, because you're going to need it while devouring this book. Remy has crafted a gripping story with well-developed characters, intense action, and vivid descriptions of the blood that splatter across the pages. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from the very first word to the very last.
If you enjoy zombie stories, particularly ones like "The Walking Dead" TV series, then you will absolutely love this book, just as I did.
I have read and enjoyed other books by Marie but Till The End fell flat for me.
I hate to leave a low rating on a fellow indie author’s new release but I also strive to be honest in all my reviews.
This zombie apocalypse romance came off very cliche in my opinion. The love interests chemistry wasn’t there at all for me and although I kept trying to push through I ended up putting this book down at the 80% point.
*I was given an ARC by the author and this is my honest, voluntary review.*
I am a big fan of zombies and end of the world books and I must say that Till the End had it all. I was hooked the moment I found out there were zombies involved. Oh, but it was more than just zombies. No it told about how people came together when the zombies brought forth the end.
Till the End tells the story of how four people Malcolm White, Anne Yamaguchi, Zack and Kelsey Morris, survived a zombie apocalypse. Till the End ramped up the action with all the zombie fighting. It was intense from beginning to end. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to suit me. The more I read the more I wanted to read. As a matter of fact I never wanted it to end.
Anne and Kelsey are stranded in a mall when they see their first zombie. I must say I was not disappointed in the least with Anne and Kelsey’s zombie fighting skills. After getting stranded the girls soon realize they are need of a little assistance. So Kelsey calls on her husband Zack to come save them from the zombies or more like pick them up as they know how to fight zombies.
Zack and Malcolm are Navy Seals dudes so when they arrive at the mall to save Kelsey and Anne they are not alone, no they have brought along their whole team. They are going to take the girls back to the base but they soon learn that only family is allowed meaning that they can’t take Anne with them.
The four of them have been friends for a long time and neither one want to leave her behind to fend for herself against zombies. So they come up with a plan. Their plan? Malcolm and Anne were married over the weekend. Will their plan work? Can they convince Navy Seals guys that they are married?
Till the End had lots of twists and turns and quite a few big ones. It kept me on my toes as I raced to the end. There was this one big twist that I never saw coming and it left me in tears. Oh, man it broke my heart, I was crying like a baby.
I sorely enjoyed reading Till the End and would love to read more about this world and all its characters.
If you are a big fan of The Walking Dead as I am then I highly suggest that you grab a copy of Till the End today!
This action-packed apocalyptic romance is a unique and thrilling take on the popular zombie genre. The story is full of suspense, danger, and high-stakes as two friends, Malcolm and Zack, navigate the zombie invasion while trying to protect their loved ones.
The plot is well-crafted and engaging, with plenty of twists and turns to keep readers on the edge of their seats. The addition of a demonic cult adds an extra layer of terror and suspense to the story, making it even more intense and gripping.
I have read many works by Remy and I must say this is different from what I usually read from Remy. As an avid horror fan and writer, I was curious how Remy would do crossing over into the horror genre and I must say, Remy has another hit. I genuinely enjoyed this story and the characters within it. I pictured myself in this world and was fascinated by the possibilities and the choices the characters made. Surprisingly, the romance wasn’t as strong as it typically is in a Remy Marie story, but this particular story wasn’t focused fully on the romance. I thought the action was great and the dialogue smart. I hope to see more from Remy in this genre. Job well done! 👍🏾
I can honestly say this is the best zombie-romance crossover book I have ever read. All joking aside, it is a good book. I like how everyone just accepts a zombie apocalypse from the start and knows to aim for the head and use katanas, like movies had prepared us for fifty years. Good read.
I'm not sure if this was meant to be a horror comedy, but I may've laughed at too many sections in this. The character banter is sarcastic, cheesy, cliche, and constantly flowing no matter what the situation. I unfortunately found myself skimming, but that could be my horrible attention span, so I don't want to crudely judge, especially for a fellow indie. There is a ton of potential here, gets right into the action, and is thrilling no doubt. Definitely gives some Resident Evil & World War Z vibes.
Btw, if you're looking for something spicy, this has it, too. Their picking and prodding is painful to watch as you're just waiting for them to do something. In the famous words of Malcolm - it was worth the wait.

What a great zombie book by Remy! I really liked the romance between Anne and Malcolm in this story. I thought that the story was very well written overall, the steamy scenes were a little less steamy than a book with romance in it, however I still got a good picture of the relationship between the two. And I love the interracial aspect in this book, as sometimes you don't get too much of that in mainstream books all the time. I also loved the action in this book, there were so many scenes of fighting with the zombies and if you like Walking Dead or World War Z, you are going to love this book like I did. The writing shows how society would change in the blink of something like a zombie apocalypse and I totally agree with the author's assessment of what would happen. You need to read this book if you haven't already!
**Also thank you to the author for a review copy for this honest review***
I'm not a big fan of dystopian but this had me hooked. A would they wouldn't they romance with characters you just scream at for being a bit silly (shopping in the middle of zombies... why not but duuuuuuude u an idiot - nothing on the author, pure character idiocy but in keeping with character!) Would recommend
This is the walking dead meets any romance book you like, Malcom and Anne are friends but must act like a married couple to be able to keep her safe from the zombies and others, they are just friends right? This was a good book and it has some parts where you are like no there is no way , or you want to slap someone upside the head a time or two
Was recommended this book by a friend. I could say what the other reviews have already said, a great romance during The Walking Dead-esque story, but it is much more than that. If you like zombies, romance, and action, this is the book for you.
Zombies, romance, and an incredible female main character? Sign me up! I enjoyed every moment of this book. It was a wonderful blend of horror and romance, and I held my breath until the very end!
I wanted to read this book because of two things. 1.) It is set in the region I live. I was raised in Hampton Roads, which is where I live now; this is my forever home and I can't seem to escape it. So to see places like Little Creek, Norfolk, and the MacArthur Mall mentioned made me feel more into the story, more involved in and thus immersed in the plot. Plus, the joke about the traffic on I-64 struck a nerve because no one, and I mean no one, wants to sit on 64 waiting to pay to go through the Downtown Tunnel. Or any of the tunnels. And then 2.) Zombies. My intense love of horror and monsters made this one too sweet to pass up. Now, there is a lot of action in here-- tons of gun fights, slashing swords, and evil people (The Sons of Satan were a perfect addition to the plot because we all know when civilization gives up the ghost, and if perhaps monsters are involved, the people left alive and fighting for their lives can be just as evil and dangerous. And I enjoyed the romance between Malcolm and Anne as they navigated their treacherous world while trying to keep up the ruse of being totally in love secret newlyweds. This was an action-packed story, and a great time.
