Alana was always a strong independent woman who didn't need a man, but the thing was - she really wanted one.

She searched high and low, in multiple workplaces, through several educational institutions, and on three different continents. All she found were bad date stories, an accidental kidnapping, and the sincere belief that she was a failure in love.

In an effort to fix herself, she dove into mating, dating, and connection research. She consumed every book, podcast, TedTalk, YouTube video, article, and course that came her way from top marriage therapists and dating experts. She began to see common threads in all of them, leading her to create the concept of Feminine Seduction.

She applied the concept to her dating life and things began to turn around immediately. She was asked on more dates, had more effortless fun while dating, and created meaningful connections with men who made her feel special and desirable. Eventually, she also found The One she was looking for.

As a bonus, she found a life path as a teacher and Dating Coach, empowering women to connect with their seductive allure to create the love they want.

Alana now lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and a jungle of houseplants. She is a coach and creator and author of The Art of Feminine Seduction.

The Art of Feminine Seduction: How To Reclaim Power In Dating, Sex, and Love is a bold, energizing guide for women who feel disillusioned by modern dating yet still long for genuine attraction and emotional intimacy. Alana McKenzie Page writes with confidence, vulnerability, and clarity, transforming personal dating frustrations into a structured system for reclaiming feminine power.

Rather than offering surface-level dating advice, the book dives into the emotional dynamics of attraction, self-worth, and polarity. Through candid “bad date” confessions and reflective exercises, Page reframes rejection, disappointment, and emotional unavailability as signals not failures guiding readers back to alignment with their authentic desires.

What sets this book apart is its emphasis on feminine energy as a source of strength rather than manipulation. Readers are encouraged to become grounded in self-respect, emotional clarity, and confidence, which naturally shifts how they are perceived and treated in romantic situations. The step-by-step approach makes abstract concepts actionable, helping readers feel seen, desired, and emotionally connected without abandoning their values.

Ultimately, The Art of Feminine Seduction is about more than dating it’s about self-reclamation. It speaks directly to women who are tired of chasing, compromising, or settling, and instead want relationships rooted in attraction, chemistry, and mutual respect. Empowering, candid, and unapologetic, this book reminds readers that the love they want begins with how they choose to show up for themselves.

If you're looking to shift your experience of dating and love, BUY THIS BOOK! Alana brings years of research, training and personal history to help you change the way you're showing up in your relationships, and mostly importantly, for YOURSELF!

She intentionally uses words like 'feminine energy' and 'seduction,' because she knows they're confronting, and that's the point! If we want something different, we have to do (and be) different! So while, yes, there are parts that might feel 'woo woo' (author's words! 😄), she does a great job clarifying that we ALL have both feminine AND masculine energy, and what matters is how we can tap into our own inner knowing and wisdom to create the relationship that's best for US.

Through clarifying exercises and practical application tips (and lots of personal dating horror stories as examples of what NOT to do!), she'll help you get clear on what you actually want from a partnership. It was a great reminder that all the 'rules' about how we 'should' or 'shouldn't' date (or be in relationship) are made up! What actually matters is choosing for ourselves what we want and believing that we deserve to have it.

This book really changed my understanding of how I show up in relationships and has helped me be more intentional about the 'energy' (BEing) I allow myself to express and use to connect with my partner.

I wanted to finally hear somebody explain what they understand by this feminine and masculine energy. I guess the explanation of what it is and how to use it in dating was decent. I did appreciate she spoke about the good and the bad experiences and analyzed them in detail.

However, some of the examples chosen to make a point that she was not in her feminine energy... Were frankly right out sexual assaults by men on her.

I am not sure that it clicks with me to blame a woman for not being in her feminine energy for the way a man does something without consent.

Also not sure I subscribe to the bit of pretending I do not have masculine energy as she called it, because that would mean I have to lie and pretend who I am until I can reveal myself.

I understand the romance of moving from indecise female to one who understands what she wants... But I struggled to envision how a business woman who does all the planning and managing, competing etc. could pretend that she doesnt do that between 8 to 12 hours a day for the living 😅?

But one has to try everything once, so will give it a shot.

Additionally, I have listened to the audiobook and as others mention, the lack of edits was bit odd.

Finished the audiobook today!!

Overall a good listen and made some good notes on how to tap into feminine power, approach dating, and balance the masculine vs feminine when it comes to love. Also a lot of really good teachings on elevating your confidence and honing in on your energy rather than worrying about everyone elses energy.

Not sure if the audiobook was proof-listened to but there were bare times the author was coughing or restarting sentences lol which was a bit offputting but I really liked the way she told her story and I loved hearing about her experiences living in Romania and the love of Eastern European culture, she's lived a very interesting life and its super admirable.

The only part I didn't like was the online dating shiiii, she said something like add a sexy video to your profile and hers was her swivelling round in an office chair 😭

Good listen, 3.5*

A well-written book, that I enjoyed reading and got my life advices even if for now i'm not in my dating period. I think it's a book worth reading for women in general, to get more confidence in themselves and learn why and how not to settle for anything else rather than their desires and wishes. I wish we had also a version for my male friends too 😁
