This is a highly competent literary analysis of Vonnegut's work from early on in his career. It covers the nuts and bolts of his fiction, the prose style, the themes, the characters, plots, etc. It was written in a time before literary criticism went off the rails in terms of applying ideological lenses, so this is a fairly unassuming work that just supplies utilitarian analysis.
