It’s taken a long time to catch up for girl’s and women’s football in Australia. Being banned and frowned upon didn’t help much. This was cute, basically a kids version of ‘The Matilda Effect’ and so definitely one I’d recommend to young soccer fans! Had some interesting bits of info I didn’t know and I like how there was an emphasis what it takes to become a Matilda - the emphasis these women all put on growing the game for the future and encouraging young girls is so admirable.
