Unfortunately, it is a necessity to study this book because Kremkau writes questions for the Ultrasound Physics registries. The man is a master of making somewhat simple concepts as convoluted as possible. I suggest reading Edelman's Understanding Ultrasound Physics FIRST, then using this as a supplement, or read them both simultaneously. I've heard that the key to passing the registry is knowing BOTH books inside and out.
