This book is for men and women who struggled to maintain their marriage, their wife or husband, and their children but ultimately failed. It's for couples who fought and gave it their all yet found themselves divorced one day. It is for those who felt like failures since they now attended church all by themselves and bore the shame of being Christian who had been divorced. For couples just like you, I wrote this book. My goal is to provide you with the book I wish I had while I was in the thick of the conflict and unsure of how it would all turn out.

I hope that both my narrative and this book inspire and elevate you. You and, if you're a father, your kids, have hope. In the middle of the confusion and ruin, there is tranquility for you. God is good and He loves you, therefore there is life after your divorce. This book serves as both my letter of gratitude to God and my attempt to inspire hope in you at the hardest period of your life. I believed that God could mend broken marriages, and I fervently begged for him to do so in my case as well. I was left feeling shattered, dejected, and failure-like. This feeling was made worse by the absence of publications that addressed Christian guys like myself who had tried to save their marriages but failed. I searched high and low for a book that might lead me through the procedure, but I was unsuccessful. A book like this may promote divorce, and Christian publishers didn't want to go near what, it appeared on some level. I understand, and I want to be clear up front that my intention is not to convince you that getting divorced is a good thing. It isn't. God wants to rebuild and heal your marriage. However, because we live in a flawed world, I am aware that even if it is what God wants, what you desire, and what you are working for, it may not always come to pass.

My response to that is navigating divorce for the Christian man. This book is a gift I'm giving to other guys like me who struggled for their marriages but did not achieve repair via scripture and the telling of my own very personal story.
