DESCRIBING THE SIGNS
This “Describing the Signs”, is the first of a series of four books, which contains a method or system that describes in writing what the deaf person sees when speaking.
This publication is not intended to teach sign language, but describes signs; the signs that are used by deaf people to communicate.
This manual is intended to help the deaf to write the sign they already use and that another deaf person can read and understand it.
Although this writing system is for deaf people, this book olso is to teach the hearing interpreter or person who knows sign language, how to help the deaf person learn it, so it will be easy for a hearing person to understand.
The study of sign language writing through this Basic "Describing the Signs", becomes so simple and easy, that with a few weeks of study you learn in this book the basic structure to describe any language sign.
On our www.Describingsigns.com you will find graphic help, video and writing characters, which will help you in the learning process.
It is our sincere wish that these books will enable the deaf person to be able to write and read in their own language.
