Haas Mroue : born 26 Nov 1965 died 6 October 2007. A Port Townsend WA resident during the last decade of his life. Haas was born in Beirut and spent his early childhood there. He fled the war in Lebanon with his mother where he went to school in different countries, Bahrain, Jordan, France and London.He moved permanently to USA to attend UClA, BA in film and screenwriting. He earned an MFA in Creative Writing University of Colorado- Boulder.
He wrote Beirut Seizures, poems about his childhood experiences with the war in Lebanon. He wrote 8 short stories about ordinary people having to cope with the after effects of war. He authored and coauthored more than 20 books of travel. He wrote the Memorable Walks in Paris and Amsterdam.
