A Passion For Survival: Dundee United Fc, A Comprehensive History 1909 1945

Rate this book
A Passion for Survival chronicles the early years of Dundee Hibernian/Dundee United and it's players from the humble beginnings of 1909 through the troubled 1920s and 1930s, and the years of two world wars. The Club only came through those difficult times because the men who ran it had a passion for the survival of Dundee United. In this volume, the reader will find an in depth review of each season with facts disclosed, hitherto lost in the mists of time. There are also detailed profiles of all the players who have made their trademark for the Tannadice side during the period. The author, Steve Gracie has been a Dundee United fan since childhood. After a career in the finance industry, which took him all over Scotland he retired through ill health in 2001, returning to Dundee to live. Since coming home, he has worked for Dundee United in various capacities and is still there today. Steve has devoted thousands of hours researching this book. The result is the work that will give the reader an invaluable reference source.
