For those new to word or those still using word 2003 or older, word 2010 can look a little intimidating. At the top of the screen, there are a number of tabs and ribbons. At first, it’s a bit overwhelming but once they know what all these symbols mean they’ll love the intuitive feel of this toolbar.

Easy Microsoft Word 2010 is the perfect resource for the beginner. It spells out, step by step how to use these features. All with full colour illustrations and little tips boxes at the bottom of the page.

I thought that the graphics section was particularly well done. Most people don’t realize that word has some creation and editing abilities for photographs and clip art. Moreover, I hadn’t even thought of placing excel information right into the word text. That has some potential.
