This is a beautifully created step-by-step book which can be used for instruction for all levels of watercolorists from beginner to expert. The artist, Lian Quan Zhen, is both a craftsman with respect to rendition and a delicate, skilled watercolorist who shows layer by layer how the beautiful paintings were achieved.

This is a book which any painter would enjoy having in their library. The book also includes some great hints on how to find the best composition by drawing first on tracing paper, sometimes putting multiple images on separate sheets of paper and then arranging them into what seems to be the best composition for you. The paper used, the brushes chosen and the paint colors selections are all detailed. Do I love this book? Yes.

I like to refer to this book so date finished will never really happen.
