This part contains five of Academician Bogolubov's papers on statistical mechanics. These seminal papers elucidate Bogolubov's microscopic theory of superfluidity and reflect his contribution to explanation of the phenomenon of superconductivity.
Nikolay Nikolayevich Bogolyubov (Russian: Никола́й Никола́евич Боголю́бов; 21 August 1909 – 13 February 1992), also transliterated as Bogoliubov, was a Soviet mathematician and theoretical physicist known for a significant contribution to quantum field theory, classical and quantum statistical mechanics, and to the theory of dynamical systems; a recipient of the Dirac Prize (1992).
His son N.N. Bogolubov Jr. is a theoretical physicist working in the fields of mathematical physics and statistical mechanics.
Other transliterations of his name include: N.N. Bogoliuboff N.N. Bogoljubov N.N. Bogolubov N.N. Bogolyubov
