Nice little picture book with lots of color photos, illustrating how kittens grow from birth to weaning. Here's an example of the type of book animal shelter outreach workers can recommend to parents, instead of letting the family pet breed "so the kids can see it."

The only concern is that these very young kittens are almost always outdoors, even, the text notes, "all night."

Katherine loved this book! She kept pointing at the pictures and saying "dat!" (which is 'cat' in case you weren't sure.)
