If you want to read a list of 100 gangster films, I suppose you could do worse than this book. The problem with it is that it's written from a very populist POV that presupposes that nobody wants to watch black & white films, foreign films are odd, and that nobody can understand the plot of a Jim Jarmusch film. Escapist garbage ... you probably shouldn't bother.
