Absolutely stunning photographs using what I believe is gelatin silver prints. The hunk on the cover that is Rock Hudson draws you in. There are color portraits, but it is the black and white photography that is breathtaking.

This is a catalog that accompanies the wonderful photography exhibit from the John Kobal collection now showing at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. If you like vintage Hollywood stars (from the 1920s-early 1960s) you will love this exhibit.
Clark Gable, Myrna Loy, Gary Cooper, Carol Lombard, Jean Harlow, etc., etc. Very fun; and the exhibit is even better.

Lucky enough to go to see the exhibition spanning the silents up to Brando from the John Kobal Collection now showing at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. This is a lavish companion piece to the exhibition - a lovely coffee table book with great reproductions of the gorgeous vintage prints from the exhibition. The next best thing to seeing the exhibition.
