Mia's Books is a short story based on a young girl called Mia who suffers from severe insomnia. Whilst others are sleeping, Mia is often wide awake and in need of something to pass the time. Her solution, books!

In her own unique way (you'll have to read it to see how), Mia manages to get her hands on a library book which holds a little secret of its own. She goes from being a quiet, reserved young girl who barely manages to raise her head let alone a smile, to a confident young woman with a great sexual appetite who's being torn between two lovers .....one of whom is a ghost!

Will Mia enjoy the fruits of her labor and continue her love affair with both, or will matters complicate themselves forcing her to choose between them? You gotta read it!!

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I began reading this as Fifty Shades was probably the first book of erotic fiction i'd ever read, and although I really enjoyed the steamy storyline, I found that it wasn't exactly well written!

Mia's Books however was a whole new ball game .....there's sex aplenty and no unnecessary babble. The storyline is kept short and interesting which made it very hard to put down once I got going, and the odd added twists were unexpected and made it all the more exciting. I really loved the paranormal element of this as it added a whole new dimension and the sex descriptive was far better than i'd read in the Fifty Shades books. I could actually visualize everything I was reading and absolutely loved it!!

I did not see that one coming! This is one steamy book. I know how books get you all hot and bothered but to be physically touched by a ghost. What a great imagination by Tabitha Rayne! This is a great paranormal read. If you don’t have time for a novel this is a great quick read.

What a brilliant idea for a story. I really enjoyed this and would have read it in one sitting but life kept interrupting!

A flowing, sexy story line with a really beautiful ending. I know I always say PNR is not for me but this wee ghostly story was perfect!

This story is about Mia and the fact that she suffers from chronic insomnia. While looking for a (sexy) way to alleviate her insomnia, she comes across a rather unique book that takes her on an exciting, if different, sexual journey. Along the way she meets Anton whom she falls for and has a passing moment with Selena, all the while being directed by her "book", which is actually haunted by a ghost. As she falls for both her very real human lover and her ghostly lover, Mia is torn between having to choose between them, in case Anton is not able to accept the paranormal nature of her other relationship.

Right from the start, this story launches in to an action packed raunchy, sex-filled ride. If you like your sex hard, hot and dirty, and lots of it, then this book is for you. There is sex oozing out of just about every line in the story and you get saturated with it. This book needs to come with sort sort of heat warning, but I guess the "graphic sexual content" in the blurb should be an indication. :-)

There's very little superfluous writing in this book. It launches into the sexy times and then just takes you for a ride all the way through to the happy ending. It's short, sharp and shiny, and plenty sexy.

All that said, I confess that I struggled with this book because there was so much sex. I like my sexy stories to have a lot more plot and a lot more emotional depth, and even though this story did have a happy ending, I felt that I wanted to see more into the characters and get to know them rather than just reading about them going from one sexcapade to another.

Blurb: "Ghost lover or mortal—can Mia have both?

Mia has a big problem. She is in love with two people, and one of them happens to be a ghost. After a late night seduction in a deserted library, Mia brings home a haunted book. The book contains a ghost which instructs her to seduce strangers on its behalf. Mia falls in love with one of her conquests and finds herself in a romantic tangle. Can she keep both her lovers, or will she have to choose?"

That's right - she manages to find a haunted book with an actual ghost! Who followed her home (presumably in the book) and takes Mia on the sexual adventure and ride of her life!

This book was definitely an erotic novella, filled with some of the most sensual scenes of personal and couple's pleasure I have had the pleasure to read (yes I know I said pleasure twice - trust me IT WAS!) Ms. Rayne has a talent for creating a lovely image in the head of the reader, something that will stay in the reader's head for a long time to come. I enjoyed learning more about Mia as the book went on - we see her life and meet her friends and we learn some of the reasons why she has issues with sleeping. We also feel the same joy and wonder Mia does as she gets to know and falls in love with Anton.

I can't (and won't) say much more without exposing too much of the book but if you enjoy a touch of the paranormal in your erotic reads and want to be included in a sexual and sensual adventure then this is the book for you. I have read it twice already!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I don't usually read short stories because I like a lot of plot development with my books. And its just not possible to pack a lot of details and plotting into a story that is 60-80 pages. So now that I am branching out, I am going to try to take these short stories in the spirit that they were written. Or at least the purpose for which it appears (to me) that they were written.

So what is the purpose of Mia's Books? Well, I would say, its to get your motor running. Are you a shy spinster? A tired housewife? Do you need to psych yourself up for the annual anniversary shag with the old ball and chain? Well, pick up a copy of Mia's Books. Its erotica with a paranormal bent. What can you expect from this story? Lots of things, but mainly SEX. It's got self-love, shelf-love, illuminating penetration, ghostly groping, man-love, lady-love, and a paranormal menage. There isn't a lot of space wasted on plot or character development, but there isn't a lot of room for that in one of these books. So the next time you need help to feel a little randy, touch your shelf and find Mia's Books.

With a plot that has some nice twists and a some seriously hot sex this was an excellent read, it's fast paced and has a bouncy fun style that I really enjoyed. The situations were varied, well written and enjoyable and the character interaction on all levels was believable. The mix of characters is great and the Paranormal elements work really well making this a most rewarding read I'm sure I'll be returning too!

Hauntingly good time!
What a lovely ghost story with a twist. Insomniac Mia has quite the adventure in her search for sleep. With three partners to chose from she has her work cut out for her. This is an erotic novel, and I mean that sincerely! There was almost too much sex for my taste but it was really good and the ending was perfect!

I enjoyed Mia's Books. Tabitha Rayne can write sex and it is some of the hottest I've read with a ghost, a man, and a woman. Quick read, perfect for a hot summer day.
