OK. Primary focus is diabetes caused by glycation, and inflammation caused by AGEs and ALEs. Pretty up-to-date for 2007. Not a bad summary/overview, but I've read better.

I'm not prepared to rate this without some objective testing. I will say that my A1c is down from a year ago, and that's before applying any of his advice except adding fish oil.

Joyal's advice begins with suggestions for testing, continues with lifestyle tweaking and supplements, and makes suggestions for most effective use of prescription medications, if that course is indicated. It seems like a sensible, non-faddish approach to taking an active role in one's own health beyond what a traditional M.D. will recommend.
