Leigh O'Bannon comes from a long, distinguished, line of Irish who settled in Dullahan Hollow. The opportunity of a lifetime is offered to her after graduation to become the Lead Archeologist at a newly discovered Native American burial ground. Leigh quickly discovers all is not as it seems once she and her team reaches the site. Realizing she needs the expertise of another, Leigh enlists the aid of a renowned authority on Native American Tribes and Culture, Jon Two Feathers. The longer Leigh is at the site, the more she begins to realize that she is somehow strangely tied to the woman whose remains lie in the grave and the wolf who was buried with her. As the dig continues, Leigh begins to understand her place within the Hollow. The wolves who once inhabited the Hollow are returning and only Leigh with the aid of her friends and the creatures who once protected the Hollow can save them from destruction.

Describing this book is difficult if you do not write with the same clearity and distinction as the authors. I'm not certain this review will do justice to the book. The characters are earthy and real; you'll feel as if you know them. The presentation makes feel as if you are standing there watching. The imagination of the authors is unbelievable. The plot weaves and twists throughout the book; you will always be surprised. My feelings ranged from the hair on the back of neck standing straight up to laughing so hard my sides hurt. For anyone who would enjoy a mixture of Irish Mysticism, Native American folklore, adventure, and modern horror this book is not a good read but a MUST READ. For anyone else it is a worthwhile read. The only thing I would enjoy more than a sequel would be seeing this book grace the big screen. If ever a book cried out to be a movie this is that book. I would not wish to bring any bad luck down upon the authors with my comments, but this books ranks right up there with the works of King, Saberhagen, and Herbert. Don't miss this book, it may be the read of the year.
The Wolves of Dullahan BY CANDACE L. BOWSER AND T.E. BLACKBURN W.S. Klass | Book Review | 8/9/2018 Author Snippet − Candace L. Bowser was voted one of the Top 20 “Most Prolific Authors of 2011.” T.E. Blackburn is a name linked to several businesses in Pennsylvania when Googled. THE WOLVES OF DULLAHAN A novel of great detail and a multitude of characters, The Wolves of Dullahan is the first book in what appears to be a series. This book introduces a Native American Tribe that are, SURPRISE… werewolves. While some people may claim this book was inspired by the side-stories from Twilight. That would not be an accurate assumption. That would be a VERY ignorant assumption, in fact! For those not familiar with earlier works of Candace L. Bowser, allow me to educate you a little bit about her writing practices. She is smart and savvy, so she would write and release a story based on what may be “Trending” at the time. Let the truth be told, she does vast amounts of research before she writes. She is known for historical research at great lengths in order to utilize true events and facts within her fictional content. She has done this long before the age of Twilight! Moving forward… The Wolves of Dullahan are inspired by what I would assume are the same thigs that inspired Twilight with regards to the Native American Tribe being werewolves, and that would be historical Native American stories. This would be worth asking her to validate. As the book progresses we see a lot of character development and side-stories. We note a lot of historical events affecting the story as it unfolds. This book felt like a book that could quickly start an occult fanbase. While werewolves are primarily perceived as monsters, I loved how this book brings us back to the roots of skin-walkers which are believed to be related, if not the origins of werewolf tales. This is a 5-star read for me! Read this and all other books by Candace L. Bowser, available on Amazon.com. Free to read on Kindle with Kindle Unlimited subscription.
I'm the first to admit that I have no idea how to explain this story. The blurb above pretty much explains it but it doe not mention that a few chapters in your brought to the past. In the past you learn the history of how things in the Hallow came to be and why it is so important the Leigh save it.
The authors imagination is unbelievable; every emotion is brought to life through the characters. The scenes are so well thought out it's like being in a different time and place and the descriptions are truly amazing.
I feel like I can't even do this book justice with my review because this book is..... See, the words fail me lol
The best I can come up with is riveting, mind boggling and imaginative. Please do read this book! You will not regret it!
Characters are vivid and real, and the storyline is exciting as it moves toward an impending, explosive climax. The plot zips along, the writing is just excellent, and the characters are fun engaging, and compelling. I highly recommend this for my paranormal folks out there especially if you are looking for something without a bunch of sappy romance.
Since the first time I picked up one of your books I couldn't put it down. I have read this one several times and love it more every time, I am looking forward to reading the rest of your books again.
This book was quite confusing in places, it was hard to keep track of all of the characters and which time period you were in. The book jumped into different times and stories, but all of it was relevant to the main story. I did enjoy it, but it was more complicated than most books I read.
Despite the poor editing, I really liked this book. The storyline incorporation of the Irish and Native American cultures was very intriguing. I would love to read the rest of the series but it seems to be a bit hard to find.
This story is a great beginning about Great stories different people different tribes coming together to join Birth's of new children people of the wolf
