The second book in the spin-off series DESTROY THE DEAD. Set in the same world as RUN FROM THE DEAD.
Fear can paralyse even the strongest.
The infected travelled from The Netherlands to Hull… then somehow to Manchester faster than anyone could’ve imagined. And now Manchester is overrun as the army pulls out of the city, abandoning the living to survive alone.
Maddie, a twenty-year-old shop worker, already had the rug pulled out from under her when her mother died. Now the thought of losing her few close friends and her dad is too much to bear. To survive, she will need to dig deep and find the will amongst the chaos.
Whilst the virology team in Oxford work against the clock on the zombie crisis—Campbell and Hughes, part of a special forces team, head to Manchester to extract the family of one of the scientists. They need to get in and out quickly before heading to safety off the coast of Scotland.
But things never go as planned. And even the most prepared are caught off guard.
This is excellent! I could not ask for more from a zombie adventure! For me it hits all the right spots! Great characters, well thought out plot, good levels of tension & pace, wiry English humour & so well written. From start to finish I was rooting for the characters, living the excitement & horror! I do recommend this story & this series! A really great read!
Absolutely brilliant second instalment of this series . It's fast paced with great characters and a good splattering of humour . Definitely recommend that you read this series .
Book 2 reunites characters from book 1. However, this time there’s a surprising amount of unnecessary use of the F word. So if you are sensitive to graphic language, skip book 2.
I love this series so much zombies love and so much more. Think his has to be my favourite out off both the series really refreshing and I and the honor off meeting the lovely author in October can't wait for the next books
