Rate this book
An estranged sister, a flirtatious connection, and the one thing she never thought she’d lose – her heart.

Libby learns her donated kidney is no longer prolonging her estranged father’s life. He needs another, and preferably from the sister she doesn’t remember. Shocked, she’s now tasked with reaching out and convincing this familial stranger to donate an organ. But how? She can’t blurt it out. She needs to soften the blow. She needs a way in.

Enter the fun and devilishly flirty older man, Landon Morris. As he sets his wise, ocean-blue gaze upon her, Libby fights against his charms, until she discovers his connection to her newfound sister. Suddenly, Landon has a lot more appeal, and she mirrors his flirtatious behaviour until he’s wrapped around her unintended finger, introducing her to his family and friends – and the older sister she never really knew.

In the midst of her deceit, Libby finds she’s falling hard for Landon, and she worries the truth behind her actions will sabotage any future with him. Will her true feelings and intentions be enough to keep them together, or will she lose everything because she flirted with deception?

This is book nine and the final story in The Cheshire Bay series and it is Libby and Landon’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. After a very difficult childhood Libby is now living in Cheshire Bay and really loved it and she had made many friends but after a phone call from her brother saying that her dad is dying because he needs another new kidney transplant and because Libby had already given him one of hers she now needed to find her sister who she didn’t know about and what a surprise when Libby finds out that she lives in Cheshire Bay but how can Libby approach her because she didn’t know how to do that without some help and time was running out for her father. Landon loved living in Cheshire Bay and also being out on his boat on the open sea but when he met Libby he was instantly attracted to her and when they started spending time together the chemistry between them was so hot, strong and intense but then something happened that completely tore them apart leaving them both feeling lost and betrayed but will they be able to communicate and trust each other again so that they can have another chance of being together and having the happiness and future that they both deserve. Wow this book takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that had you in tears with everything that Libby had to go through in her life and how she had to fight hard to be able to move forward and I was so glad that she found Landon because even with there ups and downs they were still perfect for each other and when you are in love age doesn’t matter at all. I read this book in one sitting as the storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention throughout and I am so sad to come to the end of this amazing series which I have read every single book and I can’t wait to read what this author writes next. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.

This is the end of the Cheshire Bay series! But this book was another romance that makes us want to know these people. H.M. Sanders writes with such heart that the characters and their conflicts and feelings become real. Over several years, we have come to know all these folks and their relationships with each other, just like in any small town. Landon begins flirting with Libby in the bakery where she works, and they get together fast. She is trying to meet up with her new-found half-sister, Cedar. The whole premise is a bit far-fetched since she has no details of their dad's condition. We find out that Libby's unorthodox upbringing has left her lacking social and emotional skills, and she makes huge mistakes as a result. Landon is much older than she and reacts badly to any hint of deceit on her part. The author lets us see how they navigate their differences with help from their friends and family. They learn to rely on others, not just themselves and find their happiness.
A wedding epilogue gets us up to date on the previous couples in the series and also gives Libby something she's never had before in her life that most of us take for granted. It is charming and loving. Many wish this world were real--despite problems, people are largely happy. But any book world is like the cat for whom this series is named, appearing and disappearing, happily grinning and guiding toward happiness and safety.

I was given this book as an ARC and waited to read it for awhile only because I knew it was the last in the series and I was sad that there would be no more. This book is a great weekend or beach read. Libby and Landon are so into each other even though Libby has ulterior motives in the beginning. The family dynamics in their lives are entirely different from each other but Libby wants to be part of Landon's great family group. Libby has secrets that are exposed down the road including an age span of more than what Landon thought. Libby having to deal with her father's illness throws a curve in her and Landon's relationship for awhile and her own family comes together after many years of separation. The last of the book brings everyone from the series into the present and what is happening in each of their lives.

I love Cheshire bay and it’s residents and this time it’s Libby’s story. Trying find a new life for herself, to get away from her past, she is given a chance and given work in the local bakery. All is good until Libby gets a call from her brother to let her know that the kidney she gave her father is failing and only person who could help is their half sister who just happens to live in Cheshire bay and who she didn’t even know existed. It’s a story of hope and a story of love and with a few misunderstandings as Libby gets closer to Landon to get closer to her half sister Cedar and despite the age differences they find themselves getting closer and closer. It’s a wonderful read that at times had me smiling, had me swooning and also had me in tears and it was fantastic to catch up and see how everyone was doing.

Oh my word!! I really loved reading, Flirty in Cheshire Bay (The Cheshire Bay Series Book 9) by H.M. Shander because it was such an awesome story about Libby and Landon. I really liked Libby's character even though she wasn't truthful to the people she met especially Landon. She had good intentions but the truth was going to come out one way or the other. I also really liked Landon's character because he was flirty and fun around Libby. These characters both needed each other. This was such a fantastic series to read about. The people and all their lives I felt I was so invested in by reading about them. I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily choosing to leave this review. Love the book and would highly recommend reading the book and this series.

Like all Ms. Shander’s stories, there are strong themes of acceptance, both of self and the past, as well as love found and struggled with, and forgiveness. Libby has been on her own for years, with an upbringing that makes her feel like a freak or an outcast and for the most part, has kept to herself. Because of a family emergency, she needs to make contact with a half-sister she only just found out about. To that end, she involves herself with Landon, just as a way to meet her, but along the way finds someone who offers her acceptance and support for no reason other than that he likes her. It is a really moving story and fitting end to the Cheshire Bay series.

Libby/Aspen learns the kidney she gave her dad is failing and he now tells them of a half-sister that lives in her town that he wants to see. Libby meets and falls for a friend of Cedar, Landon, and worries that she will lose him when he finds out she needs Cedars help. The characters have interesting backstories and it seems almost everyone is related at one point. A lot of surprises, twists, a psychic, a cult, apologies, acceptance and a huge surprise where she finds her father.
Absolutely loved the series ending epilogue. The update on everyone and a few twists and surprises to top it all off.

I quite enjoyed the book, although I found it a little dry getting started - Libby and Landon were cute and 'flirty' together - obviously he was more worldly than she was, considering her upbringing. Unless I missed it, I would like to know why Cedar left the family ....
When she is finally able to complete her task in Cheshire Bay, her world falls apart - but, she learns things about herself, she was never taught as a young adult - and thankfully Landon is willing to accept her heartfelt apology, and her life begins anew.

The ending epilogue was satisfying, winding everything up for the series, THANKS for that!!!

The final Cheshire Bay story and I’m sad to say goodbye to this series.
As always, the characters are amazing, realistic and totally relatable. The storyline grabs you and takes you on a roller coaster of emotions, I laughed and I cried. Libby and Landon have a great connection but because of some questionable communication they some hurdles to overcome to get to their HEA. Sweet, steamy, some tension, emotional, and just plain great to read.
I loved how the epilogue caught us up with the characters from previous books to beautifully wrap up the series.

This has been one of my favorite series ever. I have loved the small beach town of Cheshire Bay, and all the people we’ve gotten to know along the way. They’ve become like family. Each book is a stand alone , however, so many of the characters are somehow connected and reappear in subsequent books. This one is Libby and Landon’s story, and they were awesome together. Libby came from a very different background , and although Landon was over 15 years older than her, he was just what she needed in bringing love and stability to her life. A very satisfying epilogue wrapped up this delightful series with many of the folks of Cheshire Bay present.

After donating one of her kidneys to her father, Libby moved to Cheshire Bay two years ago following a disagreement with him. Her half-brother, Everest, recently delivered a message from their father requesting that Libby connect with Cedar, who is her previously unknown half-sister also living in Cheshire Bay. In light of this, Libby has decided to become friends with Landon, someone who is acquainted with Cedar. This story is heartbreaking but also romantic and full of love, ending in multiple HEAs. Very highly recommended.

What a way to end the Cheshire Bay series with this book. I loved reading about Landon and Libby this book. I love their adventures and pull they had to eachother. I loved the surprise relationship that Cedar and Libby grew together.
I love how every book you get such an amazing different story but how everyone is connected and is family with it without being blood relatives. Cheshire Bay is truly a magical place I wish existed. As by no surprise I loved this book and definitely would recommend ❤️

Cheshire Bay. Every time I visit, I'm whisked away to a pleasant, charming, swoon-worthy holiday!

Ms. Shander's characters worm their way into my heart and stay for quite some time! It was no different with Libby and Landon. Enjoyed them both!

Libby has a goal to help her Dad. Who would have known that Landon could be the path to getting what she needs. But, could this hurt what she's developing with Landon?

In true Shander fashion, your emotions will be up, they'll be down, and the HEA, so satisfying!

This story drew me in, I was intrigued and wanted to know more. I understand Libby’s deceit of Landon, but I was definitely frustrated with her at times. They both had very different families and Libby wants to be part of Landon's great family group. Libby has a lot of secrets including her age, she is afraid it will make him run away. It is a wonderful read that will make you fall for them. I highly recommend you read this book. I truly enjoyed the epilogue. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love the Cheshire Bay series and this story fits right in.
Libby has a huge dilemma as the kidney she donated to her father is failing. Discovering her half sister lives near by, a sister she was unaware of and needs to reach out to. She turns to Landon for help.
Two stories in one ..the relationship with her sister and the one developing with Landon.

I've read a lot of books written by H.M. Shander; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the tenth book in the Cheshire Bay Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Libby & London; they meet while she’s searching for her estranged sister that she doesn’t even remember. Her father needs a new kidney after the one she donated starts to fail.

I’ve been enjoying the Cheshire Bay Series. Each one has it’s own story, yet the familiar characters and family from the previous books make the stories interconnected and interesting. This one has family, romance, and a little intrigue.

In this book we learn how the relationship developed between Landon and Libby. There were some bumps along the way with the younger Libby who was innocent in how she handled herself with Landon which caused him to be suspicious but in the end they grew stronger with each other.

It was the last book of the series and as all the others it can be read as a stand-alone.
I really enjoyed this story too and maybe because I am acquainted with the other characters, this story felt like a piece of the puzzle falling into place. I truly enjoy the author’s way of writing, it flows naturally as you read and it’s hard to stop. The characters take form as the story evolve, getting deeper and you find yourself wondering what will it happen next..
If you are looking for an enjoyable read, I truly recommend the whole series, any of the books will not disappoint you.
I have received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.
