It drives me crazy when DESIGNERS -- in a visual discipline, no less -- write a text and reference documents needed for the research but, oh, yes, that's right, don't SHOW them. Instead, they write, "We'll talk about this in 20 chapters." By that point, I have zero handle on what you're trying to SHOW me. Ugh.

Reading this on Kindle PC also reinforces the hatred I feel for the way the Kindle removes any sense of book design. Everything runs together and looks like a tacky Word document.
