In this story Sam constantly gets scolded by his mom because he always messes up and he does not want know what to do but no matter how hard Sam tries he always gets in trouble and ends up in the dog house. This book is good for children because it does teach them that there are consequences for your actions. It teaches kids skills that they would need when they grow up and what is right from wrong.

Sam was a dog who loved best of all to fetch things. His fetching got him into trouble when he brought home things that belonged to other people. After waiting for hours Sam was happy when the school bus arrived with what he liked to fetch the most. Cute story nicely illustrated.

This book really reminded me of the "Marley" books we've read recently and for a children's story, I much prefer this one. This story is broken up into 3 short "chapters" and the words are easy for my oldest to read with me. We really enjoyed this story book. The dog is cute, mischievous and loving - a great dog story!

Easy reader with 3 stories about a dog named Sam. In the first Sam likes to fetch, perhaps a little too much. In the second story Sam likes water, perhaps a little too much. In the third story Sam has trouble sleeping so he decides to howl, thereby waking the entire family. Cute story that will engage new readers as they develop their skills.
