Tao Stones: Chinese Meditations for Every Day

Rate this book
Open your mind to an ancient system of wisdom that goes beyond reason and rational thought. For the first time, the 3,000 year old Chinese tradition of seeking guidance and inspiration from Tao stones is shared with Westerners. Find your own way through the complexities of modern life, guided by the transcendent Voice of the Tao. Randomly select two stones, ideally at the beginning of each day, and refer to the corresponding reading to cast new light on issues that concern you and also to suggest a meditational thought for the day. Carry the stones with you. Touch them from time to time to keep you grounded in their physical solidity and inspired by their spiritual wisdom. Two sets of tactile stones and a carrying bag are provided along with a sumptuously illustrated book of instructional readings--all of it packed inside a beautiful lacquered wooden box. Experience the profound power of the universe through these simple stones.

An excellent little book to the ancient system of seeking advice and guidance. For those familiar with the I Ching, this is an easier and quicker alternative for those moments when time is short.

Reread, more a daily meditation system than a divination system.
The interactive aspect makes it more fun than those 365 meditation books.
