There are some great ideas here! I would definite read it again. A few things I disagree with, such as not using KJV, and there are 2 instances he recommends “pretending” in regards to 1-your child having a nice singing voice (even if they do not) and 2- making your child feel that they were always wanted, even if you didn’t feel that way, or they were not planned, or were an “accident”. That is lying. Sure, we want our children to be confident, but we can do that without lying. In the long run, lying will do more harm than good.
This book reinforced the importance of sharing your spiritual life with your children. They need to share in the joy of prayer and calmness it can bring to one's busy life. If it is important in your family when the children are small they will find it easier to continue when they are independent, that stands for whatever a person chooses to be part of their daily life.
Not really anything here that I haven't heard said better elsewhere. Based on the title and first chapter, I was hoping it would be about helping children engage in spiritual disciplines, but no such luck.
