This book was great. One day i was practicing my guitar when i decided to look some tabs for some southern American music. After hours of searching i found a particular song called Tico Tico by Paco DeLucia. I looked the song up on youtube and heard Paco DeLucia perform the song in the 60's or 70's and i was fascinated by both the music and how Paco played it. Ever since i tried to find books about him and this is one of the books(that is not in portguese) that i found mentioning him and dedicating a part to the book to him. This book is basically a book talking about performances by Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, and Paco DeLucia when they performed in San Francisco. It also includes the tunes they performed with extreme detail. If i was more advanced in note reading, i would be able to play the way these artists performed their songs... and that would be the best. I recommed this book to anybody fascinated by these 3 artists, like me. You won't regret checking these books out, especially if you're a master note reader.

Amazing to get a book full of the actual transcriptions. No tablature, so for some this might be a bit off putting or of no use. But, if you read and love the album then this is a fantastic book.

A book of transcriptions of the legendary album "Friday Night in San Francisco". It is great to be able to see all of the parts written out. For those looking for a technical challenge or an insight into the playing styles of each of the members, this book would be a welcome addition to their practice schedule. As an added bonus, try playing Paco De Lucia's parts fingerstyle - like he does! (It still amazes me that he can keep up with McLaughlin and Di Meola while playing without a pick)
