Before you get confused by the title of Kleinman’s book, and the number of pages, let me tell you what I think – I think that author should have made this book thinner. I expected to have more trivia and interesting things to drop in conversations.
All of the advice in this book comes out of Elly’s experience in the advertising industry, but it has value for everyone doing work in creative fields. Even the advice that seems to be advertising-centric has wider relevance, if you open your mind a bit.
But actually there are some good advice in this book which are presented in such a form that is quite easy to understand. My wife reads this book again and again whenever she needs a pep talk, and says that every time it works for her. She likes books teaching readers be unafraid of failure, having ambition, sharing care, and being open to new quotes.
