This book is definitely full of great pictures and gives you information on most ingredients you will probably use as a vegetarian, vegan, or simply someone who is trying to diversify their diet. This is not a book I use consistently since many of the recipes involve a lot of time and ingredients, but what I have made is very good. The Japanese-Style Soup is one of our staples when the vegetables are in season. The book is aimed at vegetarians but most recipes are vegan-friendly or easily made vegan (usually a matter of substituting or eliminating cheese).
