Can you say eye candy? There are photos of nature and then they showed swatches of fabrics that would give the feel of the photo subject. Like a sunset, even if you don't make a quilt that looks like a sunset, the colors can inspire your fabric choices. It's about how to get color scheme ideas from photos. Very pretty! Since the focus is on color, there aren't project instructions, but I didn't mind.

Excellent ideas and really outstanding quilts inspired by colors in a totally unrelated photo. Worth your time. I loved how the fabrics were shown individually, and then as they appeared in the quilt. The detail was great.

Nice quilt pictures, for sure. But all the book really tells you is, "Look at a photo, notice the colours, then use those colours in a quilt." I'm glad I just borrowed the book from the library and didn't actually buy it, because I found it to be pretty superficial and disappointing.
