not actually sure that this is the book I read ...
Can't fault Sargent's exquisite paintings, but the book itself was somewhat poorly written

Very dark transfers and many are in black and white. Skip this one and get a different Sargent book.

A very nice book. Explains the life of Sargent and his greatest works.
