This is a great reining beginners book. It teaches how to train and prepare young horses, tips in patterns, what equipment to or not to use, what bits work best, he also has pattern tricks and secrets, and the NRHA and the AQHA patterns. This is a fast read that you can just skim through. I enjoyed it and learned from it(he is after all a 6 time NRHA Furity winner!) If I was training a reining horse or any horse I would definitely come back to this book to reread, I think his method would be great for young horses.

Great book that gives you the foundation for training reining horses from the master himself, Bob Loomis.
