These are the inspiring stories of twenty-seven Presbyterians who decided to stand for the inclusion of sexual minorities in the church. Each person's story is a testament to the struggle to live out personal faith in a public world.
This is a follow-on work to Called OUT: The Voices and Gifts of Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgendered Presbyterians where 25 straight allies in the Presbyterian Church (USA) tell their stories. It's interesting to see how they went from not being affirming to affirming and what paths that journey has taken them on, both inside and outside the church. For most of the people, the change was prodded by getting to know real GLBT Presbyterians and by being able to relate the GLBT injustice in the PCUSA to their personal life experiences.
