all 13 stories, absolutely fabulous!!

I loved the fact that all the stories had a certain composure :prologue, sometime in the future and then the conclusion. All ghosts stories which I absolutely love and these stories were written very well!!

13 short ghost stories compiled into 1 book. In my opinion, these stories weren't written very well. They lacked detail and didn't build a good story base. I think Carrie Bates is an amature writer and wants scary stories to be her bread and butter, but she falls short.

All were like the old fashioned around the fireside stories!

Enjoyed reading every tale. Some better than others.
I do recommend reading it because it is short, a nighttime reading before bed.

Nice collection of stories

This was a nice collection of short stories. Each story was unique but, at the same time, similar. I loved how Carrie provided the back story for each book. It helped to know what the characters were dealing with. I felt this was worth the read

Scary stories

How many variations can there be on a theme? MS Bates seems to have discovered them all. Great stories and you never know if there will be a dark or light ending. Fun reads.

Creep factor of short stories!

This was a great compilation of creepy short stories. Just the right length for quick read before bed! Sufficiently creepy that makes you hear every sound in the dark!

After the first story in this series, the other ones were very predictable and somewhat boring. Most followed the same storyline.
