A must read for current and future Physical Educators including general education teachers who don't get enough exposure to this subject through their total of 3 units in their undergraduate classes. Speaking of the under exposed, administrators should read this too as Fitness Based Education should be the basis of any respectable Phys Ed program.

Strong worksheets and considered research transform this book into a useful guide into and for physical education. There is attention to men and women with impairments, but also an exploration of movement and movement cultures. This is a solid undergraduate textbook and a useful introduction into this field.
