I'm rating this a "5" because it is one of the few accounts of the Pequot War, thus it is a valuable document It is a very short summary of Lion Gardiner's interpretations of events. It was not my intention to be objective, but rather to understand Gardiner's point of view. I have no doubt now that the Pequots plotted the destruction of the English. They were an extremely violent group of people who were feared by the English as well as the neighboring tribes of native Americans.
