This book is meant to be enjoyed by mature readers age 18 or older.

Simone, Neshelle and Imani have been friends since grade school. Each comes from a different background, but now, as grown women they find themselves facing the same struggles in the search for love.

Simone has a no-nonsense approach to men - She ain't puttin' up with no nonsense. As a 41 year-old single mother of a college student, she knows what she wants out of a man, and she's not afraid to demand it. When she meets Carlos, she thinks she's found THE one. A former baseball player, he's wealthy, sexy, and fantastic in the sheets. He seems like the perfect man for her. But is he too perfect?

Neshelle can count the men she's slept with on one hand. Her recent divorce from her high school sweetheart has left her totally unequipped to handle men in today's dating world. When an impulsive one-night stand results in shocking consequences, she spirals out of control briefly, but soon finds herself saved by an unexpected rescuer.

Imani has always been the quiet one of the trio. Patiently waiting for a wedding ring from her live-in boyfriend of ten years, she is devastated when she learns he cheated on her and fathered a baby with another woman. Believing her own lack of sexiness is the reason for his indiscretion, she goes to great lengths to change herself and her appearance. It's only when she meets a man who appreciates her for what's on the inside, that she truly believes she can love again.

This book contains a hopeless romantic, a sexually repressed school teacher, and a freaky, Latin lover. If you are offended by steamy sex scenes in unusual places and descriptions of half-naked men, this is not the book for you!

I'm a multi-published author of sizzling-hot African-American romance. I'm also a Walking Dead fan and a recovering shoe addict. I never met a stiletto I didn't like!

I've always been an avid reader of all romance genres. A few years ago, I decided to share my knowledge of Egypt and Nubia by publishing my first African-American historical romance, entitled Pharaoh's Desire. Then, in November of 2010, I published my first urban romance, The Highest Bidder. Whether I'm writing historical or contemporary romances, I always try to educate my readers and teach them something they may not have known before.

When I'm not writing, I enjoy doing anything artsy, collecting Native American pottery, and indulging in my one true obsession - shoe shopping! I live in Dallas, TX with my husband, photographer Kerry Rand.

Check me out at www.ChantaRand.com. And remember: You can't expect any sizzle...if you don't turn up the heat!
