In this study, Dorais (social work, U. Laval, Quebec) examines how being stigmatized as homosexual affects the personality and behavior of males between the ages of 14 and 25. He demonstrates that gay youth are particularly at risk for committing suicide, and that for heterosexual youth who are incorrectly perceived as homosexual, the risk is even greater. Deserves at least 4 stars. Not perfect but certainly powerful. It's also very concise and poignant . Perhaps less so, for those looking for something easy but, what did you expect from a book titled "dead boys can't dance" a book about sexual orientation, masculinity, and suicide (all of which is written on the cover...). Although I am looking for more diverse research. That being said, I believe this book to be an important read.Dead Boys Can't Dance: Sexual Orientation, Masculinity, and Suicide
